Faculty note: Prof. Meacham has featured fiction piece published

UW-Green Bay Prof. Rebecca Meacham (English/Humanities) has the featured fiction piece, “Descending,” in the online journal 7x7la. According to the editors, the magazine was “launched to facilitate a new kind of interdisciplinary collaboration. Each 7×7 invites one visual artist and one writer to engage in a two-week creative conversation. The format, inspired by Surrealist games of the early 20th century, challenges participants to improvise, in their respective disciplines, a spontaneous story that pushes into ever-wilder imaginative terrain.” Meacham was paired with New York-based visual artist Maeve D’Arcy, whose mixed-media art inspired Meacham to write about a famously fallen family (No spoilers!).
