All employees from all campuses are invited! “A Rolodex of Lived Experiences,” led by former Big 10 Coach of the Year, Angie Lee will be held Tuesday, June 18, in Phoenix B from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Here’s more:
Angie Lee was at the top of her game. It was 1996 and she had just led the University of Iowa to a stellar season in her first year as head coach of the women’s basketball team. She was living the basketball dream,  until she became disenchanted and had to walk away. The rest is history – listen to Angie tell her story. The professional development workshop, sponsored by the Academic Staff Professional Development Programming Committee and the University Staff Professional Development Committee, is being offered to academic staff, university staff & faculty at no charge. Reminder: Spring All Academic Staff Assembly is today (May 9)

The Spring All Academic Staff Assembly is Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 3 p.m. in the Christie Theatre, located in UW-Green Bay’s University Union. The assembly agenda is now available. The Academic Staff will vote on a Resolution to include representation from branch campuses on the Academic Staff Committee for 2019-20 and 2020-21, and changes to the By Laws (see agenda). All are invited to an Academic Staff end-of-the-year social to follow at 4:30 p.m. at Shorewood Club. The 2018-19 Academic Staff Committee (ASC) meets biweekly on Wednesday afternoons at 1:30 p.m. in Cofrin Library (CL) 735. Committee meetings are open governance group meetings. Organizers welcome Mark O’Connell, executive director at Wisconsin Counties Association in Madison. O’Connell will create a journey into world, national and state demographics. He will look at the challenges that face society, and what this means for the future of education and universities. He will demonstrate an exercise to position outstanding leaders in pursuit of choice. This free workshop, sponsored by the Academic Staff Professional Development Programming Committee and the University Staff Professional Development Committee, is being offered to all faculty and staff. Registration closes at midnight on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

Sponsored jointly by the Academic Staff Professional Development Program Committee and the University Staff Professional Development Committee, the professional development workshop “Teamwork, Communication, Creativity” will be Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. in the Phoenix Club, located in UW-Green Bay’s University Union. Following the sessions, Comedy City will present “Improv On The Job” from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. “Comradery Happy Hour” will then take place at 4:30 p.m. University staff and academic staff employees at all UW-Green Bay campuses are invited and encouraged to attend. Please complete the Academic Staff Spring 2019 Elections Ballot, the Qualtrics link that was emailed on Friday, March 8, 2019, which will take a couple of minutes and is an extremely important part of the Academic Staff governance process. The comments included with the the candidates’ names were provided by the nominees themselves. Feel free to use these comments to help guide you towards your choice for the best candidate for each position. Feel free to contact the Office of the Secretary of the Faculty and Staff at SOFAS@uwgb.edu if you have any technical questions.
