Practice facilities include hospitals, long-term care facilities, a college cafeteria, public school food service, community health clinics, a Native American health center and UW-Extension Cooperative Extension agencies.

The program consists of approximately 32 hours of weekly supervised practice experiences (Monday through Thursday), occasional weekends, plus six hours of didactic instruction and project management on Fridays. The program typically starts late August and is completed by the end of the following May. Vacation is normally scheduled during the winter holidays.

Students who successfully complete the Dietetic Internship will receive a verification statement and eligibility to take the Registered Dietician exam.

Prospective students who cannot make the event can join virtually by contacting the Dietetic Internship program at (920) 465-2269. More information about the program is available online.
