Slideshow: UWGB Foundation welcomes new board members
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and its private foundation welcomed new members of the board of directors at the fall kickoff dinner and meetings on campus Sept. 26 and 27.
Posing in the University Union’s 1965 Room on Tuesday morning were, above, from left, Donna Sheedy, Cliff Abbott, Scott Wochos, Philip B. Flynn, Gerald (Cort) Condon, James (Jim) Wochinske and Mark Skogen. (New additions not pictured here are Beth Gochnauer and Mark King. For bios on all new board members, click this link.)
The board consists of 30 civic leaders, business people and campus advocates who serve concurrently as directors of the UW-Green Bay Foundation, Inc., and as members of the institution’s primary community advisory board, the Chancellor’s Council of Trustees.
The Monday social gathering in the Weidner Center’s foyer brought together Trustees, guests and University officers for an evening that included dinner, a guest musical performance by a teenage local opera standout, and presentation of a memento of appreciation (a UW-Green Bay clock) to longtime Tufco Technologies executive assistant Julie Owens. The award recognized Owens’ unofficial but substantial service to the University through her work with recently retired Tufco CEO Lou LeCalsey, chair of the Council of Trustees.
