A fair number of UW-Green Bay supporters and alumni are involved in this, so we thought we’d share word about the eighth annual “Girlfriends Event” at the Meyer Theatre Wednesday evening, April 23. It’s a fundraiser for the Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay and the group’s endowment benefitting children and families, designed as a followup/complement to the popular Power of the Purse luncheon. This year’s concert features Davina Sowers and the Vagabonds, a national-caliber blues and gospel act. Emcee for the evening is WBAY-TV 2 anchor Cami Rapson. See info on tickets and more.
