Giving back: Retirees tee up for scholarships
Whoever ordered the weather gets the same job next year. It was a beautiful day for the third annual UW-Green Bay Retiree Association Benefit Golf Outing, August 22. Nearly 40 golfers and dinner guests — including alumni, current employees, and friends of the University — joined retired UW-Green Bay faculty and staff at Shorewood Golf Course for fun and to raise money for the UW-Green Bay Retiree Association Scholarship.
The benefit netted close to $600 for the scholarship, which currently supports one student per year. The Retiree Association thanks the following donors who helped the Association with its goal: Algoma Net Company, The Bluff Pub and Grill, Cliffhangers Grill and Pub, Highland Howie’s Pub & Grill, The Phoenix Bookstore, Pump Room, Royal Scot Golf Course, Shorewood Golf Course, UW Credit Union, UW-Green Bay Advancement, UW-Green Bay Alumni Association, UW-Green Bay Athletics, and The Woods Golf Course.
