The annual Heirloom Plant Sale is back and so is Associate Prof. Steve Meyer’s salsa for scholarships. Different this year… the sale is THIS WEEKEND, not Commencement Saturday, as it has been for years. The sale is Saturday, May 11 in the Greenhouse, Lab Sciences Building. A pre-sale for faculty and staff is Friday from Noon to 5 p.m. The sale features about 9,000 unique and rare heirloom vegetables, herbs and flowers and a large variety of peppers. Meyer is bringing back his hot, medium and mild salsa. All donated proceeds from salsa donations go to the Katie Hemauer Memorial Scholarship.
