UW-Green Bay Prof. Gregory Aldrete’s (History, Humanities) book, The Long Shadow of Antiquity: What Have the Greeks and Romans Done For Us? (co-authored with my wife Alicia Aldrete) is going to be translated into Chinese and sold across China. The book was just published in a new revised and expanded form earlier this year by Bloomsbury Press in the English speaking world. It describes the innumerable ways that the ancient classical world continues to shape and influence our world today. Aldrete has had articles published in Spanish, but this will be his first major Chinese language publication.
