Humanities under attack: Prof.’s Nesvet and Shelton pen column for Press-Gazette

UW-Green Bay Assistant Prof. Rebecca Nesvet (English and Humanities), and Assistant Prof. Jon Shelton (Democracy and Justice Studies), published a guest column in the Green Bay Press-Gazette. The piece argues that recent distortions of history shows the fundamental importance of a broad-based education in the humanities. Nesvet and Shelton argue that narrowly tailoring higher education to the whims of employers is a dangerous mistake that facilitates pernicious historical untruth.
