Video Transcript-Marinette Area Higher Education Coalition:

Hi everyone, I’m Cindy Bailey from the UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus and I’m Jennifer Flatt from NWTC, Marinette. We are lucky to have two colleges right here in Marinette, which is why NWTC, Marinette and UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus have joined together to create the Marinette Area Higher Education Coalition. Together we are working better to serve our region. Yes, we are two separate colleges, but we share a similar mission, helping students of all ages achieve their academic and career goals while fostering economic growth in our area. We are working together to make it easier for students and school staff to access what they need right here in Marinette. Students enrolled at either college can use services at both institutions, like the library, academic advisors, and computers. Our community now has access to bachelor’s degree programs right here in Marinette. Students can start at NWTC, Marinette in fields like Human Services, Electromechanical, and Business Management and finish at UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus. The best part is students wanting a bachelor’s degree can save thousands starting at the NWTC, Marinette Campus and finishing at the UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus. Additionally, the Marinette Nursing track allows students to earn their Associate Degree and Bachelor of Science in Nursing in four years. All right here in Marinette. In so many ways we are your community resource. Whether you have a question about an invasive plant or you’re looking for a class or community speaker, entrepreneurship, welding, communication, art, local history, machining, or a variety of other topics. We are here to listen and to respond to your community needs. The Marinette Area Higher Education Coalition will continue to grow as we find new and exciting ways to collaborate.
