University of Wisconsin-Green Bay sees record-setting spring enrollment | WFRV
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials with the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay announced on Thursday that the school has seen record-setting enrollment numbers for the spring of 2024.
According to a release, UWGB officials report that the university has seen a 5.2% year-over-year increase for its spring semester with a record-setting headcount of 8,025 students.
Officials say that while statewide and national enrollment numbers have declined in the last few years, UWGB continues to have “strong and sustainable growth” with the official year-year numbers for spring enrollment being as follows:
Enrollment Increases from Spring 2023 to Spring 2024
- Overall – 5.2% increase
- Hispanic/Latino students – 13.9% increase
- Students of color – 15.5% increase
- International students – 33% increase
- Non-traditional students – 5.7% increase
- First-generation students – 4.9% increase
- Graduate students – 8.3% increase
- High school students – 23.6% increase
University officials also say they are seeing significant growth in the Rising Phoenix program, nursing, psychology, writing and applied arts, sociology, and anthropology. The Cofrin School of Business is also seeing growth in majors such as accounting, finance, human resource management, and marketing.
