Wisconsin Glo wins regular-season title in women’s pro basketball league
In its first year of existence, the Wisconsin Glo (with four former UW-Green Bay players) clinched the Global Women’s Basketball Association regular-season championship with a 99-79 win over the three-time reigning-champion Flint Monarchs.
The Glo hopes to continue its dominance — the team is undefeated this season after 11 games — in the GWBA league championships, which they will host at the Menominee Nation Arena on Aug. 10-11.
