Colleges struggling with issues affecting FAFSA applications

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – If you’re a parent of a soon-to-be college freshman and you’re having trouble navigating the FAFSA applications, you’re not alone.

Attempts to make the process for filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid – or FASFA – have not gone smoothly.

The new systems have had glitches and errors, fits and starts, the launch was delayed nearly three months, and it has been plagued with problems since, including having to re-process roughly 20% of applications that were submitted.
