Faculty note: Prof. Meacham is elected board co-president of UntitledTown

UW-Green Bay Prof. Rebecca Meacham (English and Humanities) has been elected board co-president of UntitledTown Co., the 501c3 nonprofit that organizes the annual book and author festival in Green Bay. Meacham, one of the Festival founding members and a board member since 2016, previously held roles as the board secretary, programming chair, and marketing/communications chair. Meacham will share the role of president with Amy Mazzariello. Other officers include community members Derrick V. Holt (vice president), Maria Konkel (treasurer), and continuing board member and UWGB alumnus Brian Simons ’98 (History). Supported by generous sponsors, grants, and donations, the two previous festivals featured bestselling authors R.L. Stine, Roxane Gay, Hillary Jordan, Christopher Moore, Danez Smith, Sheman Alexie and Margaret Atwood, along with nearly 250 other local and Midwestern authors over a three-to-four day weekend in April in Green Bay. In 2018, UWGB students, faculty, alumni, staff, student organizations, URSCA and the Weidner Center were all major contributors to UntitledTown — and Meacham looks forward to continued University engagement and support.
