Faculty note: Prof. Nesvet publication

UW-Green Bay Assistant Prof. Rebecca Nesvet (English) has had a proposed article in progress provisionally accepted for publication in the U.K.-based Victorian Popular Fictions Journal (VPFJ). It is titled “Sweeney Todd’s Indian Empire: The Global Cartography of The String of Pearls.” VPFJ is a relatively new journal founded to address burgeoning scholarly and public interest in “penny dreadfuls” and other Victorian popular literature… that is, the pleasure reading of the working-class majority of the Victorian reading public, at home and in its colonial spaces.
