Save the date: Upcoming Pride Center events

Our friends in the UW-Green Bay Pride Center would like to share some information on a couple of upcoming events:

LGBTQ Issues Roundtable Discussion, 5-6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, Alumni Rooms A and B. Pride Center interns, staff and volunteers will lead roundtable discussions on LGBTQ issues that are suggested by students and faculty. Come share your thoughts and perspectives about topics that matter in an accepting and open-minded environment. Please email Stacie Christian, christis@uwgb.edu, with suggestions on topics.

Film, “Breaking Through: Out of the Closet, Into the Hall of Power,” 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, Christie Theatre. An award-winning film that is not so much about politics, but rather the “anything is possible” attitudes of individuals who are LGBTQ and have broken through conflict to participate in public life. Interviews include the first gay U.S. senator, Tammy Baldwin. A discussion will follow the film. Sponsored by the Pride Center. www.breakingthroughmovie.com
