There’s Pride at UW-Green Bay as a Top School in the US for LGBTQ+ Students | 1330 & 101.5 WHBL

The UW-Green Bay Campuses at Green Bay, Marinette, Manitowoc and Sheboygan have been honored as a top school in the U.S. for LGBTQ+ students by Campus Pride.

The organization which promotes a safer, more LGBTQ-friendly learning environment at colleges and universities, gave UW-Green Bay its eighth consecutive award after the school again achieved 5 out of 5 stars on the Campus Pride Index.  Pride Center spaces can be found at all UW-GB Campuses, while the Green Bay location also hosts the Ally Lounge in the Kress Events Center which works specifically with student athletes, staff and coaches.

Pride Center director, Nicole Kurth, said that they’re excited to be among the top 40 campuses in the country in how it responds to the concerns and needs of LGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff and allies.  She said “It really takes the entire campus community working together at our four locations to make this a welcoming space for all.
