Student HR org earns merit award from national society

Kudos to the UW-Green Bay chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, which has earned a Merit Award designation for providing exceptional growth and development opportunities to its chapter members. The designation comes on the heels of the UW-Green Bay chapter earning an SHRM Superior Merit Award in 2012-13, and is a positive reflection on the growing organization, said chapter adviser and UW-Green Bay Assistant Prof. Ghadir Ishqaidef. “I am very proud of the progress the student members are making toward enriching their careers in the field of human resources management,” she said. “This award is a continuation of the chapter’s success as it had won SHRM’s Superior Merit Award for the year 2012-2013.” SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 275,000 professional and 19,000 student members in more than 140 countries, the association serves the needs of HR professionals and advances the interests of the HR profession. The group has been presenting student chapter merit awards since 1972. Read more on SHRM at UW-Green Bay.
