HR reminder: Executive Order #54

As a reminder, Executive Order #54 requires all University of Wisconsin System employees to immediately report child abuse or neglect if the employee, in the course of employment, observes an incident or threat of child abuse or neglect, or learns of an incident or threat of child abuse or neglect, and has reasonable cause to believe that child abuse or neglect will occur. This Executive Order applies to all UW System employees, regardless of appointment type. Please refer to UW-Green Bay’s Policy on the Reporting of Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect for specific responsibilities and reporting requirements. Short-term employees (including Associate Lecturers, Adjunct Instructors, Ad Hoc Program Specialists, Limited Term Employees (LTE), and Student Employees should review this training on the Human Resources website (it takes about 15 minutes). Short-term employees should notify their supervisor once they have reviewed the training, and supervisors are responsible for ensuring their short-term employees have completed this training.
