UW-Green Bay Theatre and Dance plays on dramatic power of imagination for ‘Play Nice’

In Play Nice!, a production by playwright Robin Rice, the “Diamond siblings” use the dramatic role-play of their imaginations to cope with the abusive Dragon Queen — their mother. Siblings Isabel, Luce and Matilda embark on a mysterious journey within themselves to discover who poisoned her.

University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Theatre and Dance presents Play Nice! in six performances at the Jean Weidner Theatre, Weidner Center, UW-Green Bay. Play Nice! will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 13-15 and Oct. 19-22. Admission is $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. Rice will be in attendance for the opening night performance.

In addition, Rice’s all-male version of Play Nice! titled Morsels Three! will be read publicly for the first time from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 10 in the University Theatre, Theater Hall, UW-Green Bay. The reading is free and open to the public. Rice will be in attendance for this performance, as well.

UW-Green Bay students play the key roles: Cherran Dea Rasmovicz as Matilda Diamond, Emily Ahrens as Isabel Diamond, Daniel Taddy as Luce Diamond, and Kate Akerboom as Joanie Calliope.
