Student art on display now through May 13 at Lawton Gallery, Theatre Hall
The second of two art exhibitions featuring the work of UW-Green Bay graduating seniors opened this week in the Lawton Gallery at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. The Gallery is located on the second floor of Theatre Hall. See the works in the slideshow below. Better yet, stop by during gallery hours. Nine artists have works in this exhibition:
- Lawrence Dolder, Niagara, abstract oil paintings about facing life’s challenges.
- Jenna Dunnick, Niagara, photographs that take photography as their subject matter.
- Christine Engler, Kewaunee, colored pencil and oil works whose theme is “Mind Maps.”
- Tyler Gajewski, Pulaski, a series of screenprints that explore digital images and computer glitches.
- Allison Gyzen, Green Bay, an installation exploring word and image association through found materials.
- Amii John, Oneida, mixed-media constructions that remix Native American and U.S. cultural icons.
- Justin Schnell, Newton, metal works in sterling silver illustrating circuits and numbering systems.
- Scott Vanidestine, Green Bay, large-scale abstract encaustic paintings.
- Allison Wagner, Lena, sculpted costumes and vessels exploring craft and sustainability.
