What do angel investors want? Learn more Wednesday

Of possible interest: Hear how two angel groups in Northeast Wisconsin go about making investments in emerging companies at the Wednesday, Sept. 26, meeting of the Wisconsin Innovation Network Northeast chapter. The event will be held in the Union’s Phoenix Room, beginning with registration and networking to begin at 5 p.m. The cost is $20 for general admission; $10 for WIN members, students and BPC participants and is included with WIN corporate memberships. Registration includes beverages and appetizers.

Representatives of two leading angel groups in the northeast region, Angels on the Water and The NEW Capital Fund, will share their investment philosophy, the types of companies in which they are investing, and the future of early stage investing in the New North region. The panel will include our former interim chancellor, David Ward, CEO and founder of NorthStar Economics and a member of the investment committee for Angels on the Water; and Charlie Goff, president of NEW Capital Management and general partner with the NEW Capital Fund. The panel will be moderated by Tom Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council.
