Next installment in iPat Environmental Film Series: ‘Sun Come Up,’ Oct. 1

The movie starts at 7 p.m. Monday (Oct. 1) in the Christie Theatre on the lower level of the University Union. Sun Come Up is an Academy Award-nominated film that shows the human face of climate change. It follows the relocation of the Carteret Islanders, a community living on a remote island chain in the South Pacific Ocean, and now, some of the world’s first environmental refugees. The film will be followed by commentary from a local expert panel along with a Q&A session. The event is part of the iPat Environmental Film Series (impact = population x affluence x technology) sponsored by PEAC, Public & Environmental Affairs and the Center for Public Affairs.
