The 37th Annual University of Wisconsin-Green Bay University Leadership Awards program is Friday, May 11, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the University Theatre, Theatre Hall. A reception will follow. The awards being presented are the Chancellor’s Medallion, the University Leadership Award, the Outstanding Student Award and Student Organization of the Year Award. Chancellor Gary L. Miller and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Campus Climate Eric Arneson will be participating in the ceremony. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP by Monday, May 7. New process for Chancellor’s Medallion nominees

Students who were nominated for the Chancellor’s Medallion are completing a new online questionnaire beginning this fall. The form requires them to upload a copy of their recommendation letter and submit it with the questionnaire. Nominees will be approaching faculty and staff over the next several days to request letters, and the deadline for students to submit their completed questionnaires is Oct. 3. Thank you in advance for preparing your recommendation letters and providing them to the nominees prior to the deadline. This process will greatly streamline the selection process. If you have any questions, please contact Student Life at osl@uwgb.edu.

UW-Green Bay students earn Chancellor’s Medallions, University Leadership Awards

Thirty-four graduating UW-Green Bay seniors will be honored Friday, May 15 with Chancellor’s Medallions, recognizing sustained academic and community achievement throughout their UW-Green Bay careers.

The students will receive the honor during the semi-annual University Leadership Awards program May 15 and will wear the medallions during commencement ceremonies Saturday, May 16. Another 43 students will receive University Leadership Awards during the May 15 program, recognizing them as undergraduates who have contributed to the growth and development of a student organization or who have exhibited a commitment to community service, while remaining in good academic standing.

The events honored students earning cum laude, magna and summa cum laude distinction at Saturday’s graduation ceremony, as well as individuals nominated and selected to receive the Chancellor’s Medallion and University Leadership Awards.
