Green Bay, Wis.—The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus Fine Arts Gallery, located in Sheboygan’s Fine Arts Building, invites the community to see its latest art exhibit, “Objects: Artwork by Fred Bell.” A special artist reception will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibition will run from Oct. 4 through Oct. 31, 2019.

Fred Bell lives in his hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He started painting at the Cape School in Provincetown for six seasons with Henry Hensche, a respected American painter and teacher known for his colorful artwork. Bell also studied at The Art Students League and The New School, both located in New York City.

“My paintings are mostly about the paint,” said Bell. “I like it thick and the marks to show. It is applied with a palette knife and is a combination of oil paint and wax. The wax makes the paint thick, colors more rich and the texture swirls around giving the painting life!”

The opening reception is free and open to the public.
