UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus hosts Commencement, May 22

Local Entrepreneur and Business Owner Presents Commencement Address

Sheboygan, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus will hold its annual commencement ceremony on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the campus’ University Theatre. One hundred and six students earned two-year degrees from the Sheboygan Campus during the 2018-19 academic year, many of whom will be participating in the ceremony. Four UW-Platteville and two UW-Oshkosh collaborative students also will be receiving diplomas during the ceremony.

Local business owner and entrepreneur, Grant Pauley, will deliver the commencement address.

Pauley began his work pouring concrete in his family’s business, but decided that working for a large corporation wasn’t for him. When the only brewpub in town went out of business, Pauley met the new owners of the building, had a look at the equipment, and within a few hours had formed a hand shake agreement to open a brewpub in the back while the owners would open a restaurant in the front. Just a few months later, 3 Sheeps Brewing Company opened its doors, and later that year won RateBeer’s Award for Best New Brewery in Wisconsin. The taproom is located at 1837 North Ave, Sheboygan.

Pauley has a bachelor’s degree in History from Northwestern University.

Graduate of the Year, Lydia Luebke, has been selected to represent the Sheboygan Campus class of 2019 as its student speaker. She is a 2017 graduate of Kiel High School. Joshua Becker completes his associate’s degree as the valedictorian and will continue to pursue his degree in electrical engineering through the UW-Platteville Engineering Partnerships Program.

The UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus is located at One University Drive, Sheboygan.
