UW-Green Bay Outreach offers Nature’s Outdoor Lab summer camp July 27-30

Students entering grades 8 through 10 in fall 2014 can enroll now for the Nature’s Outdoor Lab Camp, running Sunday July 27-Wednesday July 30 at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, 2420 Nicolet Drive.

Campers will investigate natural and not-so-natural areas on the beautiful UW-Green Bay campus and in Brown and Door counties. Led by UW-Green Bay’s Laurie Case and community instructor Lynn Terrien, Nature’s Outdoor Lab will allow campers to learn through fieldwork, laboratory and classroom experiences. They will explore differences between plants, insects and animals living in healthy, natural environments and those that have been disturbed by human activity and invasive species.

Visit the camp website, www.uwgb.edu/camps/science/outdoorlab for registration and faculty and staff updates.

Students can attend as commuters or as residents living in UW-Green Bay student housing. The camp fee is $279 for commuters, which includes lunch. Resident students will pay $469, which includes room and board, counselor supervision and transportation to evening activities.

Camp information and registration are available online at www.uwgb.edu/camps/science/outdoorlab. Information also is available by telephone at (920) 465-2775 or via email at summercamps@uwgb.edu.
