UW-Green Bay theatre program to present ‘Twelve Angry Jurors’
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay theatre program will present the classic drama Twelve Angry Jurors, later this month.
UW-Green Bay theatre professor John Mariano directs the play, which was written by Reginald Rose and originally known as Twelve Angry Men. The play was adapted to include female actors.

The drama centers around twelve strangers in a jury room reviewing evidence from a murder trial. Emotions run high as the jury foreman tries to find justice in the unanimous verdict needed in the case.
Rose wrote Twelve Angry Men, a live one-hour drama for CBS’s Studio One, after his experience serving on jury duty during a manslaughter case in New York City in 1954. Twelve Angry Men was made into a major motion picture in 1957 and adapted for the stage in 1964.
Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 24, 25 and 26, and March 2, 3, 4 and 5 at the Jean Weidner Theatre in the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts on the UW-Green Bay campus, 2420 Nicolet Drive.
Tickets for Twelve Angry Jurors are $15 in advance, $18 at the door for adults; $12 in advance, $15 at the door for children and seniors; and $10 for UW-Green Bay students. Order online at www.uwgb.edu/tickets/ or by calling (920) 465-2400.
