Snapshots: December commencement
An audience of approximately 2,000 was on hand Dec. 17 as a record mid-year class of more than 400 was eligible to receive degrees in ceremonies at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. The photo gallery doesn’t include captions and IDs, but among the stories told:
- A former NFL linebacker (Tim Terry, today a scout and staff member with the Green Bay Packers) achieves a longstanding goal and receives his master’s degree in management;
- An adorable baby gnaws her mother’s diploma cover, post-ceremony;
- An award-winning pre-med student from Malaysia, (Aisha Umar) a Human Biology grad, shares a moment with one of her favorite faculty members, who happens to be a Shakespeare scholar and Humanistic Studies professor (Catherine Henze).
