Grad designed own major
It has been an option available to UW-Green Bay students forever — or at least since the institution’s earliest days in the push-the-envelope 1970s — but the “Individual Major” has never been a common choice. (Maybe because it’s a rigorous and daunting task to build your own curriculum, even with faculty assistance and a general framework provided.) In any event, one graduating senior is listed in Saturday’s commencement booklet as having completed an Individual Major. She is Amber Micolichek of Green Bay and the title of her program was “Cross-Cultural Health Studies.”
