Community Nutcracker Ballet has strong UW-Green Bay ties

A sensational example of community collaboration is the 11th annual Green Bay Nutcracker Ballet at the Meyer Theatre, Nov. 25 to 27. UW-Green Bay alumnus and ballet instructor Timothy Josephs is the artistic director for the producer of the show — Northeast Wisconsin Dance Organization (NEWDO). UW-Green Bay Prof. Jeff Entwistle and 18 UWGB students load in and strike the show, and another seven help run the show. This year, the Ballet features New York City Ballet principal dancer Abi Stafford, Broadway performer and former New York City Ballet dancer Stephen Hanna and other professionals, as they join 96 local dancers for four performances.
