New video: Environmental class benefits from international perspectives

Just in time for International Education Week (Nov. 12-16 but celebrated here all month), we bring you a fun news video on Prof. John Katers’ Industrial Pollution Control class — and the six countries and four continents represented therein. Katers’ class this semester has just two dozen students — yet among them are international students from Switzerland, Germany, Spain and Kenya. Add in visiting Prof. Alex Godoy of Chile — who helped teach the course before returning home recently — it’s been a truly international experience. Our new video talks about the value of multiple perspectives in an environmental course, and how students and faculty alike can benefit.
