Beisel was University friend

Dan C. Beisel, 93, a staunch supporter and friend of UW-Green Bay, died Saturday (Oct. 31) at his home in Delray Beach, Fla. As the longtime publisher of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Beisel took an active role in promoting developments that he believed would have a lasting impact on the community. Among the issues close to his heart was the creation of a University of Wisconsin campus in Green Bay. He was one of the original members of the UW-Green Bay Founders Association.
