In a memo to campus leadership today, Chancellor Gary L. Miller announced a decision to eliminate the Chief of Staff position at UW-Green Bay. “Responsible management of budget and enrollment realities requires making difficult decisions. Today I inform you that I am eliminating the current role of Chief of Staff and restructuring this position within my leadership team. This reorganization will make UW-Green Bay’s leadership team more consistent with the Cabinet structures found at our peer institutions across the UW System. Toward this end, Ron Pfeifer is leaving his role with the University. Ron has provided great service and consultation as we have navigated significant challenges and embraced new opportunities. I want to publicly thank Ron for his contributions, ambassadorship and grace during his tenure. He has been a generous supporter of UW-Green Bay for decades and has promised me he will continue to be supportive of our institution and vision in the future.”
