Division of Information Technology Structure Announcement
The UW-Green Bay Division of Information Technology (GBIT) is excited to share with you the changes made within the division to better align our resources to better support you…our campus community. Here is a quick summary of the major changes:
We have organized into three primary departments within GBIT:
- Technology Support Services (TSS) that includes the IT Service Desk (formerly the Help Desk); Network Support; System Support; Endpoint Support; AV/Classroom technology support; and support for our other locations. This group is led by the newly promoted director, Monika Pynaker.
- Enterprise Applications and Integration (EAI) that includes the group formerly known as MIS. This team consists of Business Analysts, System/Web Programmers and Developers, and a soon to be hired Data Integration Specialist. This group is led by the newly promoted director, Mike Bubolz.
- IT Administration includes IT Security and Compliance under Travis Albrecht’s leadership; Project and Portfolio Management led by Andy Georgenson; as well as a newly created IT Finance and Budget Coordinator position.
Collectively we are ALL members of the UW-Green Bay Information Technology organization.
We are redesigning our business processes to align with IT best practices known as ITIL. This will include enhanced IT staff training as we establish systems that will continue to enable digital transformation across the University.
IT Governance is launching with the newly formed Information Technology Administrative Advisory Team. This group of campus stakeholders will assist us with prioritizing and advancing key technology initiatives that will support the strategic growth of the University.
We are excited about the journey we are on together to take the necessary steps towards a technologically enhanced campus experience. We appreciate your partnership and support as we navigate change in the upcoming weeks.
