UW-Green Bay Libraries to participate in 9/11 Memorial & Museum’s Education Exhibition (and webinar), Sept. 7-17

The UW-Green Bay Libraries (Green Bay, Sheboygan and Marinette Campuses) are participating in Sept. 11, 2001: The Day That Changed the World, an educational exhibition that presents the history of 9/11, its origins, and its ongoing implications through the personal stories of those who witnessed and survived the attacks. Told across 14 posters, this exhibition includes archival photographs and images of artifacts from the Museum’s permanent collection. It explores the consequences of terrorism on individual lives and communities at the local, national, and international levels, and encourages critical thinking about the legacies of 9/11. The poster exhibition will be available on the third floor of the Cofrin Library starting on Tuesday, Sept. 7, running through Friday, Sept. 17.

This 9/11 Memorial & Museum curated exhibition reflects the core pillars of commemoration, education, and inspiration as we prepare to observe the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. In addition to the exhibit, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum are also making available a free webinar. We invite you to join us participants from around the world to commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11 on Friday, Sept. 10 from  8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The webinar will be streaming in Room 304 of the Cofrin Library. Feel free to join as you are able.  The webinar will include a film highlighting first-person accounts of the attacks and their aftermath, as well the ability to connect with Museum staff in real-time through an interactive live chat.
