New Student Orientation and Move-in Day is Monday: Want to help?

Over 700 freshmen will arrive at Residence Life on Monday (Aug. 31) with their belongings and often their families in tow. The rush beings at 8 a.m. and typically subsides by about 12:30 p.m. Many faculty, staff, and student government leaders have made it a tradition to provide volunteer assistance on freshmen orientation move-in day by moving student belongings, directing pedestrian and vehicular traffic, and answering questions. Parents and students are always very appreciative of the assistance provided on this important day. Some volunteer opportunities remain open. Interested faculty or staff should e-mail John Gerow, gerowj@uwgb.edu.
