Reminder: Volunteers sought for Move-in Day


Move-in day for new freshmen takes place as part of the FOCUS Orientation program each fall. This year, move-in day is Thursday, Aug. 30. Residence Life is requesting volunteers to assist students in a variety of capacities. Without fail, families and students say their interaction with helpful University volunteers is a highlight of their welcome-to-campus experience. Move-in Day coordinator John Gerow says if more volunteers sign up, he’ll consider breaking the morning’s teams into two shifts, covering two hours, rather than the traditional three- or four-hour assignment. Please respond by e-mail: housing@uwgb.edu before July 20.  In your message, please indicate your preference for your volunteer assignment also including:

• Your name
• Polo shirt size (men’s and women’s sizes available)
• Time preference if two teams (8-10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.)
• Preferred volunteer assignment:
  -Information tables/greeter
  -Movers
  -Directing traffic
  -Other physical constraints, limitations, or requests
