SBDC has notable week

Last week was National Small Business Week, and two small businesses related to UW-Green Bay and the Cofrin School of Business had highly notable successes:

SBDC client Dollhouse Dance Factory of Sheboygan won an international dance championship. Here is an excerpt from the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation, “The SCEDC has had an opportunity to help fuel a lot of entrepreneurial development projects since we started back in 2014, but now one can claim best in the world. It was also the very first project that we ‘project managed’ from business plan development, site assistance, funding strategy, and second stage completion, due with a great assist from our partner Chuck Brys with the Small Business Development Center at UW-Green Bay. Last weekend, dancers from the Dollhouse Dance Factory took top honors in a dance world competition in Orlando, Florida.”

In addition (and documented in a separate post) SBDC client Hometown Trolley (Crandon) CEO Kristina Pence-Dunow was recognized as the Wisconsin Small Business Person of the Year. Pence-Dunow did her undergraduate work at UW-Green Bay.
