A visit by the Hardens

Chancellor-designee Thomas K. Harden and his wife, Cathy, visited the UW-Green Bay campus Monday for the first time since his appointment as chancellor in December.

The Hardens met with faculty and staff during a social hour Monday afternoon in Phoenix Room B (see photos). A long line of visitors waited to make their introductions to the University’s incoming leader. Harden will assume his new duties on June 1.

In a scheduled week-long visit, the Hardens were to meet with campus and community leaders, take in both a men’s and a women’s basketball game, visit the chancellor’s residence, travel to Madison for the governor’s budget address, and even have a bite to eat at Curly’s Pub inside Lambeau Field.

The Hardens fly back to Georgia on Friday. Chancellor-designee Harden is currently president at Clayton State University in suburban Atlanta.

The Hardens plan to visit the campus and the Green Bay community again in April.
