600 Campers Learning Problem-Solving Skills’ at LeadGB Summer Camps – Green Bay News Network
UW-Green Bay is in the final week of hosting youth leadership programs as part of the University’s summer camp program line-up. More than 600 kids from around the region, ranging in age from six to 14 participated in the LeadGB series – LeadGB Girls and LeadGB Boys. LeadGB is run by local leaders, Chelsea Faase and Chuck Brehm, who draw on their decades of experience as professional educators to create impactful programming for campers.
“The LeadGB camps create a space for campers to learn life skills that help them to be resilient problem solvers, develop relationships and communication skills and become more attuned to their physical and mental health,” said Chelsea Faase, director of LeadGB at UW-Green Bay. “They leave camp each day empowered to succeed now and into the future. At a time when our nation’s youth are facing unprecedented mental health challenges, programming like LeadGB helps them on their path to becoming strong, capable leaders.”
