‘Almost, Maine’ brings back memories

Contributing writer Alan Kopischke, recalls UW-Green Bay’s 2010 production of “Almost Maine” for USA Today network. “The other day, I had a rehearsal prop dropped in front of me. It was a program from a UW-Green Bay production of “Almost, Maine” from 2010. I almost got distracted from the scene we were working on, because of the many Door County names in the program I recognized. I’ve been teaching acting at UWGB, and I was made an emergency replacement for a student actor in “Wonder of the World” by David Lindsay-Abaire. The props department provides basic facsimiles of the props that will ultimately be used in the show; in this case, an old theater program standing in for a restaurant menu.”
