Reminder: Global Studies third conversation is Nov. 16
Global Studies is hosting its third conversation about important political events unfolding this fall. Discussion about Centennial of the Russian Revolution will take place tomorrow, Nov. 16, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Phoenix Room C, University Union. Discussion will be led by Russian studies colleagues Heidi Sherman, Kevin Kain and Katia Levintova. Russia continues to dominate US media coverage, so this discussion is timely in our understanding of contemporary issues in this important international player. Russian Revolution remembrance is a complicated and multilayered phenomenon, that manifests itself in culture, politics, foreign policy and even education in Russia. As you know, these discussions allow us, as a campus, to have important and timely conversations about topical events and processes around the world.
