Project SOAR rescues snowy owls
Erin Giese, senior research specialist for the UW-Green Bay’s Cofrin Center for Biodiversity, acts as the co-founder for Project SOAR, a program that aims to save snowy owls and other raptors that are on airport property and relocates the birds to a safer place. Since January 2018, the program has helped rescue several owls at the Austin Straubel airport in Green Bay. Read the full story.
