Green Bay Black History Month in 2022 at St. Norbert and UW Green Bay
GREEN BAY – Did you know that Black History Month, despite first being conceived in 1915 — half a century after the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery — wasn’t a national holiday until former President Gerald Ford officially recognized it in 1976? That and a series of other nuggets, such as that the holiday falls in February because Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln have February birthdays, can all be brought to Black History Trivia at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay this month.
