Assistant Prof. (NAS) Mohammad Upal Mahfuz (Electrical Engineering Technology) was invited to serve as an associate editor for IEEE Access — the Multidisciplinary Open Access Journal by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Mahfuz has also recently had two peer-reviewed articles listed on IEEE’s “popular articles” page, which contains a list of IEEE Transactions on Nanobioscience journal’s monthly top 50 most downloaded articles. The articles, “Concentration-Encoded Subdiffusive Molecular Communication: Theory, Channel Characteristics, and Optimum Signal Detection” and “A Comprehensive Analysis of Strength-Based Optimum Signal Detection in Concentration-Encoded Molecular Communication With Spike Transmission,” were ranked 14 and 37, respectively. More about the IEEE Access journal can be found at http://ieeeaccess.ieee.org/.
