Faculty note: Professor Emerita Carol Emmons (Art & Design) is opening a new art installation
Professor Emerita Carol Emmons (Art & Design) is opening a new art installation at SOMI Gallery in Sturgeon Bay. Titled Miasma, the site-specific work addresses the ancient concept of miasma and its intersection with our experience of the current pandemic. The work includes elements of laser cut wood, hand embroidery and repurposed found objects. The opening reception for the exhibit is Friday, May 27, 2022, from 4 to 6 p.m. and is open to the public. The exhibition runs until July 2; the gallery is located at 45 South 3rd Avenue and is open Monday and Wednesday – Saturday from 11 – 5.
