Modern Language faculty honors Bookstore's Lacenski
In addition to honoring top graduating seniors at last week’s awards ceremony, the Modern Languages faculty instituted an honorary award to recognize individuals in the campus or community who are strong supporters of international issues and language learning.
The honorary award this year went to Sherry Lacenski. She speaks German, Spanish and Arabic and has been assisting with conversation groups in those languages, especially the Spanish conversation, and has been a strong supporter of giving foreign languages more visibility on campus. The Phoenix Bookstore was one of the first bookstores in Green Bay to carry fiction and non-fiction books in languages other than English.
“The Modern Languages faculty wish to show their appreciation to Sherry Lacenski with this honorary award.”
