Update on new UW System personnel systems

Already distributed by Human Resources to faculty and staff but repeated here for the record: UW System is moving to the next stage in designing a new personnel system.  Work group members will be meeting Thursday (March 29) at UW-Stevens Point to review preliminary recommendations for a new personnel structure. It is expected a first draft of a proposed structure will be distributed to employees to review around the middle of April.  Once the draft is available, UW-Green Bay HR will be scheduling open forums for employees to ask questions, present feedback or express concerns that will be shared with the statewide project team.  It is likely UW System representative will be available at some or all of the forums. Employees will have an opportunity to review subsequent drafts in early fall, with final recommendations going to the Board of Regents by December 2012. A web page addressing implementation of the University Personnel System can be accessed via the UW-Green Bay Faculty/Staff homepage at www.uwgb.edu/hr/index.aspx.
