Staff Note:  Steliga presents at RMS users conference

Erek Steliga, business automation analyst for Computing and Information Technology, recently presented three sessions at the RMS (Residential Management System) Business Operations & Technology Conference held March 14-18 in San Diego. He spoke “Working with IT Staff on Your Campus,” “Business Operations Best Practices,” and “Quality and Integrity of Your RMS Data.” RMS is a web-based system used to manage student housing assignments, contracts, billing and summer conferences.

Steliga’s work on this campus and with the RMS Users Group has brought recognition to UW-Green Bay CIT (MIS Team) and the Office of Residence Life for business automation initiatives. Those initiatives include integration of apartment and room lock access with the RMS system, expanded online services for residents such as room condition reporting, Express Check-in and Express Check-out, and submission of maintenance requests. Steliga served as chair-elect of the RMS Users Group Executive Board this past year and will serve as chair of this group during the upcoming year.  The RMS Users Group coordinates the annual conference and represents over 200 universities and thousands of RMS users worldwide.
